Every month our staff make a personal ongoing donation to Sheka Africa to sponsor a child. We are currently sponsoring Atuheire Able. Through these donations, Atuheire can board and attend school, live in a safe environment, have warm bedding, eat 3 meals per day and have all educational materials and uniform provided.

Gippsland’s Biggest P.J. Day
September 2024
Raising money for A Better Life for Foster Kids who support kids in out-of-home care and the families that care for them. We dressed in our cosy p.j’s at work and took part in the photo competition themed: Asleep at work.

The People’s Kitchen
May 2024
Skip volunteered for The People’s Kitchen which is a program through Morwell Neighbourhood House. Every Friday Kinder Cup Café closes and spends the day cooking up 100-120 meals which are frozen at the local Food Bank. Skip and the other volunteers smashed that number and made 147 meals!!!
A business/organisation can book the “The People’s Kitchen” and volunteer and pay for a team building day. The donation cost covers the kitchen equipment, the recipes, ingredients, induction and supervision, lunch, and unlimited coffee!

Giving Tree

Each year we set up a Giving Tree on behalf of A Better Life For Foster Kids. Our individual staff, suppliers and customers place a gift under the tree which is donated to children in foster care across Gippsland. It’s a small act but makes a significant positive impact on the children.

Maffra Community Fun Run
October 2023
We supported Maffra Community Fun Run by sponsoring 12 staff members to participate in the event.
The event raises money for the Maffra Lions Club.
Afterwards we bought all of our participants breakfast at The Food Store in Maffra, supporting another small business in Gippsland.

One Foot Forward
October 2023
Our very own Steph Morrison challenged herself to walk 300km over the month of October to raise money for the Black Dog Institute. The Black Dog Institute are the only medical institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan and aim to create a mentally healthier world for everyone.
We pledged to match the amount our individual staff donated. A total of $268.80 was donated to the Black Dog Institute.

Big Blokes BBQ

We produced and donated the lanyards worn by the attendees for the Big Blokes BBQ.
Big Blokes BBQ is organized by locals, for locals to raise awareness and money for prostate cancer. Funds are donated directly to Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia.

Melbourne Marathon Festival

Our very own Hayley Hallet set herself a goal to run her very first marathon to raise money for Beyond Blue. We pledged to match the amount our individual staff donated. A total of $377.10 was donated to Beyond Blue.

We wore our comfiest p.j’s to raise money for A Better Life For Foster Kids Inc who support children in and out of home care and their carers. Gippsland’s Biggest P.J. Day works to raise money, grow awareness and collect donated goods for children in home care.

Monday Tucker

Warm winter clothing was donated to Monday Tucker for families in need. Monday Tucker provides hot nutritious meals to 70-80 community members and is run by volunteers.

Jarrah’s Journey
June 2023
We routinely provide clothing and fundraising merchandise at discounted prices to Jarrah’s Journey. Jarrah’s Journey are building awareness and raising money for much needed research into Ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T).
A-T is a rare and incurable disease often described as the worst parts of cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and cystic fibrosis. Throw in a dose of cancer and lung disease and you have a general picture of this relentless condition.

Race the Rubeena

Community fun run where our team raced the Rubeena, Victoria’s oldest wooden water craft still in operation. We sponsored 8 staff members to participate and donated $1,000 to Rotary Club of Sale who help the local community in a variety of ways.

Sale Scout Group
When: 2020
What: E-Store solutions for the Groups custom merchandise. This allows the Group to look great week to week and at any event they attend locally, nationally or even international event.
Why: Our GM Trent is the Group Leader of our regional Scout Group with over 80 youth members and 14 leaders. Our E-Store solutions take away the hassles of collecting, money, names and sizes. This allows the leaders and parents to focus on giving the youth the best possible experiences on their scouting journey.

Traralgon Tennis Club

What: This is a cash donation to support a rural tennis club that just keeps on kicking goals. Traralgon Tennis Club hosts international tournaments at senior and junior level and continues to bring money to our region.
Why: TTC is not for profit. They are a massive asset to our region and stimulate a lot of economic activity by bringing visitors to Gippsland.

What: The program matches a Post-Grad business student with an experience Monash Alumni who is successful in a related field. Guy spent the year mentoring Palak, and they both took a lot of positives from the process.
Why: They say, "It takes a village to raise a child". Monash University was a big part of Guy's village in his youth and he was eager to give back to this community when asked.

Wellingtons Biggest Ever Blokes BBQ

Why: Our GM joins a team of other business owners on the organising committee to run this annual event with over 400 attendees that have raised in excess of $450,000 over the last 5 years. 50% of the raised funds are donated to the PCFA (Prostate Cancer Foundation) and the other 50% is used for projects closer to home. Our contribution of merchandise and artwork is time well spent making a real difference with this cause
The Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund
When: 2019
What: Product donations, raffle prizes, and paid participation in events
Why: The beautiful Cooper Trewin was a much-loved nephew of one of our team members. In 2010 he passed suddenly whilst sleeping when aged just 16 months. His amazing parents Robert and Kylie Trewin formed this foundation and work tirelessy to find a cause for sudden and unexplained death in children and have raised over $1 million to go towards research. It is our honour to play a very small part in assisting these two in their passionate endeavour.

Payless Promotions donated stubby holders to the Bella Hocken Foundation who is Raising Awareness Of Childhood Cancer.
Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund Golf Day
Payless Promotions provide ongoing support to the Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund. Each year Payless Promotions donate stubby holders and polo shirts to the Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund Golf Day, which some staff also participate in. The Cooper Trewin Memorial SUDC Research Fund supports SIDS and Kids to fund advocacy and Australian research into the cause for sudden and unexplained death in children.
Footy Colours Day
'Footy Colours Day' At Payless Promotions, all staff dressed in their favourite footy teams colours and all donations went to the 'Fight Cancer Foundation'.
Fun Run For Local Kids
In conjunction with Sporting Legends of Sale, Payless Promotions donated $5000 worth of polo shirts, running singlets, drink bottles and wristbands to help raise funds for the Fun Run For Local Kids which supported two local sick children. All of Payless Promotions Employees participated in the Fun Run also.
Kaya's Mission
Payless Promotions have casual days to raise money to Kaya's Misson who are a non for profit organisation with the primary aim to rehouse dogs for breeding establishments.
Little Jem Foundation
Payless Promotions provide ongoing support, donations, and discounts on items such as polos, hoodies, cycling tops ,drink bottles, caps and pens to the Little Jem Foundation who provide assistance to families in Gippsland who experience the sudden loss of a baby or child, whether during pregnancy, as a newborn, or as a young child.
Murdoch Childrens Research Institute
Payless Promotions donated money to Kent Hammond who is participating in a 101 hole Golf Marathon to raise money for the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. This institute is the preeminent child health research institute in Australia, and is recognised globally for its child health discoveries.
Ocsober
Payless Promotions participated in helping to highlight the growing danger of binge drinking and alcohol abuse. All money raised goes to Life Education, a program that teaches children to live a healthy lifestyle by resisting participation in drug and alcohol abuse.
Cancer Council
Payless Promotions goes casual for cancer once a month. All proceeds from our casual day are donated to the Cancer Council.
Destiny Rescue
Payless Promotions has donated money to Destiny Rescue to help rescue innocent children from the horror and abuse of the sex trade.
